Roaming Memories

– a photographic essay by Jessica Papini –

“Arnhem”
The moment when mild mania creeps up whilst waiting for the next chariot to collect you. Left alone and separated from routine can often lead to deep or nonsensical thoughts, relying on imagination and reflections to help to bide the time.

“Finger Animal”
Road trips with unlikely, ever-morphing hand animal friends that appear from catatonic restlessness and a numb arse. Conversations that turn and twist in a never-ending serpent-like trail, often forgetting nor caring where they began and where they will end. Those are truly the best.

“Playful mischief-making whilst not even cooking”
So this is Claudia handling her not so hot peppers. Always full of warmth, she constantly shines a burning bright smile that heats the kitchen even on the rainiest of Berlin mornings.

“Pink for the Lake”
Hot summer and high salinity mix together to create an intergalactic terrain. The dream-like pink hue is very infectious, drawing you in to touch. How could you resist?

“Pride for the Shoes”
Pride for the LGBTQ+ community. Pride for being oneself. Pride for life and living and dancing till those inevitable blisters rise to say hello. Pride from head to heel.
