Shy Ventures is where we can share and celebrate our stories, inspiring each other to trust in ourselves. 

Why share our stories? 
Because so many of them go unheard. It is these kinds of stories that can give us the confidence to take on a challenge or a daring adventure. Simple, relatable, empowering.

You are invited to join the growing collection and your story can be as long or as short as you like. The key is that your story is one where you overcame a personal challenge. The challenge doesn’t need to be grand, it just needs to be true. The bigger the impact it had on you, the better. 

Who should your story be for? 
Imagine your audience to be a ‘shy’ human, unsure about travels or adventures, for instance, someone who is afraid to travel alone or who listens too much to the voices-of-doubt in their head. By sharing our stories, those fearful voices will transform to say ‘if they can do it, so can I’.

Who is behind Shy Ventures?

It started as little more than a dream-idea that Lu shared in several conversations with friends over many years. One quiet winter in Berlin, she decided it was time to just give it a shot and see where it goes. After such a positive response from those who wanted to read the stories through Shy Ventures, it became clear that Lu craved some company for the behind-the-scenes force. Bruna answered the call for help and since then the two have grown a strong friendship. 

Lu and Bruna volunteer their ‘free time’ to grow and share Shy Ventures. They often work together remotely, only ever meeting online for the first 6-months. Finally uniting in the real-world was like connecting with a long-lost friend; sharing vegan donuts, having ‘work’ meetings on boats and scheming up new directions and ideas for Shy Ventures.

Shy Ventures continues to be a highlight amidst their sometimes chaotic lives. One constant is that they look forward to celebrating each and every one of the stories that are shared with them.
